First of all, the quality of the graphite blocks on the quality of its service life of the basic reasons. It must be carefully processed to meet the standard targets. Secondly, to ensure a good working environment of graphite anode plate is the key to prolong its life. In the process of production, it can reduce extrusion, keep the working environment clean, detect the circuit regularly, organize production at the optimal temperature, reduce the degree of oxidation of air to it, and so on. Finally, high quality graphite blocks are used to extend their life. Conductivity, volume density, compressive flexural strength, resistivity and other physical and chemical properties were improved.
Notes for prolonging the service life of graphite block :(1) the greater the electric flow to the graphite block, the higher the external temperature of the graphite block. It is recommended to use as little external load density (power) as possible. Please note that the value recorded at the cold end of the graphite block is the current and voltage of 1000℃ in the air, which is not consistent with the practical application. Under ordinary conditions, the external power of graphite block is obtained by the relationship between the temperature inside the furnace and the external temperature of graphite block. It is suggested to use the external power (W/ cm2) of the value of the limit density of graphite block (1/2 to 1/3), and the high-temperature resistant graphite block. (3) After the graphite block is heated in the air, its appearance forms a dense silicon oxide film, forming an anti-oxidation maintenance film, which has the effect of extending its life. In recent years, various coatings have been developed to prevent cracking of graphite blocks for use in furnaces with various gases.
